WHAT DOES OUR GOTS CERTIFICATION MEAN?
The entire supply chain, from harvesting the organic cotton to manufacturing the final towels, is inspected and certified by independent third-party bodies to ensure compliance with GOTS' strict environmental and social criteria. This provides credible assurance of responsible production.
GOTS certification ensures that the towels are made from at least 70% certified organic fibres, with 95% organic fibres required for the "organic" label grade.
GOTS prohibits the use of hazardous chemicals and pesticides, protecting workers, consumers and the environment. Only low-impact, GOTS-approved chemical inputs are allowed.
GOTS has strict social criteria to ensure fair treatment of workers, including prohibitions on child labour, forced labour, discrimination and excessive working hours. Workers must be paid fair wages in safe working conditions.
